Gin & Jazz: Thursday June 23

Martin Miller’s Gin has been changing drinkers’ perspectives at every tasting worldwide and we’re bringing it to you right here on the East End. Using traditional techniques in two separate distillations, the highest quality botanicals are combined to showcase the heart of the spirit with earthy and citrus notes.

We’ll be serving a variety of cocktails so you, too, can enjoy this smooth gin with a light floral nose and hints of cucumber.

Johnny Sax and his trio will be performing the smooth sounds of Jazz, Fusion and Standards while we swing the night away under the stars with gin in hand.

RSVP for Gin & Jazz here.

Rose Garden Party: Thursday July 21

Fragrant of ripe summer fruit, AIX Provence Rosé represents the most essential things in life – enduring friendship & love. Bring your best friends or your special someone out to Bistro 72 on July 21st to celebrate just that.

We’ll be pouring on the patio to the sounds of Vanessa Trouble, a talented vintage jazz and swing artist who is regularly seen in Manhattan and the Hamptons. Our special edition 15 liter bottle of rosé will be flowing while the sun sets to a ceremonial finish.

RSVP for the Rose Garden Party here.

Palm on the Patio: Thursday August 18

Belgian craft brewer Palm delivers its namesake beer with honey-like mellowness, a fruity aroma, and mild caramel flavor. Made for socializing, the flavor nuances of Palm beer make it an excellent pairing for the rich flavors and textures found in local Long Island mussels.

Wheat beer has been paired with seafood in Belgium for centuries and we’re happy to bring the tradition to the East End. We’ll be serving up expertly-crafted dishes made with Long Island mussels alongside the Palm beer and the sounds of Robert Bruey.

RSVP for Palm on the Patio here.

The Bistro 72 Summer Patio Series is a three-event series happening on Thursday evenings during the summer. Local Ingredients Series: Rottkamp’s Fox Hollow Asparagus

For more than 100 years, the Rottkamp family has grown vegetables on Long Island. The 250 acre farm in Calverton dates back to the mid-1800’s, when they established their local reputation for rich, succulent sweet corn. Another one of their specialties, the asparagus, has become a favorite among the local vegetables we serve at Bistro 72. The asparagus plant, called a crown, takes years of cultivating to produce premium spears, the part of the plant that we eat.

At Bistro 72, we find the Fox Hollow Asparagus to be the perfect addition to our vegetable-based recipes. In addition to being served as the vegetable du jour, we also feature asparagus in some limited-time small plates. For catered events at the Hotel Indigo ballroom, prosciutto-wrapped asparagus is offered as an introduction to Long Island’s delicious locally-grown vegetables.

Moroccan Sea Bass

More prominently, the Fox Hollow Farm asparagus is featured on our vegan pizza and alongside the vegan ravioli. Is it also the complementary vegetable served with the Moroccan Sea Bass. The Za’atar spices that coat the sea bass highlight the sweet yet earthy flavor of the asparagus. Picked fresh daily, asparagus grows best in soil with a slightly higher saline content. Soil with this type of composition occurs in places with nautical climates, making Long Island asparagus a delicious local delicacy that we’re proud to serve at Bistro 72.

Stop by Bistro 72 today or call 631.369.3325 for reservations and enjoy one of these signature dishes, showcasing just one of the many local flavors that can be found here on Long Island!
