Make the Martini Your New Summer Drink

When you think of summer, cocktails like margaritas often come to mind; however, we think you should consider making the martini your new favorite summer drink. Why? They are smooth, refreshing, and versatile enough to complement whatever mood you are in.

Our happy hour menu contains a wide variety of martinis, designed to suit your preferred flavor profile. If you love spicy, hot flavors, you should try our Hot & Dirty Martini, which is made with Absolut Vodka, olive juice and hot sauce (plus, you can add blue cheese olives for an extra $2). If you prefer sweeter drinks, try the Apple Orchard Martini which is made with Absolut Vodka and an apple liqueur. If you prefer a tart, yet sweet cocktail, try our Limonata Martini, made with limoncello, a lemon liqueur native to Italy, pomegranate liqueur, and prosecco. During our all-new happy hour every Friday from 4pm – 7pm, these martinis are only $8.

From 5pm – 9pm every Friday, there’s also live music, either in the restaurant or outside on the patio (weather-permitting.) This week’s entertainment will be provided by local musician, Michael Duca. His acoustic adaptations of covers range from Elvis and The Beatles up to and including top artists of today like The Black Eyed Peas, Usher, Mumford & Sons, Adele, Jack Johnson and Eminem. Combined with his original works his creativity and talent always leaves the crowd entertained and often requesting something new enabling him to continuously build his repertoire. Check out the full schedule of upcoming musicians online here: indigoeastend.com/events and see the full cocktail and food menu below.

All-New Happy Hour 4pm – 7pm

We’re pleased to announce we’re kicking off a new tradition this month, a weekly happy hour! Every Friday from 4pm – 7pm, we’ll offer drinks at a discount and delicious appetizers. You’ll also be able to enjoy live music by local musicians from 5pm – 9pm.

The happy hour features our newest cocktail creation–Bistro Bowl Cocktails. We mix up these amazing drinks in large glass bowls, so you can share it with friends, if you’d like. The pièce de résistance of these cocktails is dry ice, which we put in every cocktail, so each exudes a sultry and mysterious “smoke.”

This week’s live musician is Melanie Morin, a singer/songwriter from Long Island, NY. She performs a wide range of music from classic tunes to 90s jams, all with her own twist. She also encourages her fans and listeners to sing along and groove to her tunes! Check out the full schedule of upcoming musicians online here: indigoeastend.com/events and see the full cocktail and food menu below.

Make a reservation and join in on the fun by calling (631) 369-3325. However, drop-ins are always welcome. We look forward to serving you!

Bistro 72’s New Spring Menu Has Arrived

Dig in! We’ve rolled out a new, seasonal menu this week.

If you enjoyed our limited run of Ramen Noodle Soup during Winterfest, this meal has returned for our Spring menu. The chewy, yet tender noodles float gently in a vegetable broth with miso-scented lemongrass, mushrooms sourced locally from the East End Mushroom Company, and baby spinach. Our other new appetizer is a Roasted Baby Carrot and Ginger Soup.

Our seasonal entrees now include: Atlantic Sea Scallops, pan-seared scallops, herb fingerling potatoes with local vegetables in a beurre blanc sauce; Blackened Salmon, a pan-seared cajun salmon, coconut and cilantro risotto served with local vegetables in a beurre blanc sauce; Long Island Duck Breast served with wild mushroom risotto and local vegetables in a raspberry demi-glace and; Fish & Chips, deep fried battered cod with hand-cut potato wedges and tartar sauce.

Our Mesquite BBQ French Cut Chicken and Lamb Rack, which both debuted during LI Winterfest, have returned to the menu. A french cut chicken is a chicken breast with the wing joint attached. Ours comes dressed in Mesquite BBQ sauce and served with whipped sweet potato and grilled corn. The Lamb Rack comes with a side of buttery whipped potatoes and crisp asparagus.

Vegans and vegetarians, there’s something for you as well. Try our Vegetable Ravioli. It’s stuffed with asparagus and mushrooms. The chef sources the ravioli from Lisa Marie’s Pasta in Centerport. To top it all off, the chef adds a drizzle of yellow tomato marinara sauce. Creamy, filling, and ultimately very tasty, this vegan dish will turn even the most dedicated carnivore into a veggie-lover and keep the veggie-lovers asking for more.

In addition to these tasty options, we’re offering a variety of USDA prime steaks & chops, grilled to your liking and finished with compound butter. Order an 8oz Petite Center Cut Filet Mignon, 14oz Prime NY Strip Steak, or 16oz Double-Cut Pork Chop with any of our a la carte accompaniments such as mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, or sauteed mushrooms.

All in all, there’s something for everyone at Bistro 72. Make a reservation today by calling (631) 369-3325 and let us know how you like the menu by tweeting us @Bistro72 or leaving us a review on Facebook at facebook.com/thebistro72.

We also have a wide selection of local wines and craft beers.

We also have a delicious Lemon Meringue Tart or go back to the basics and have a bowl of Berries & Cream (pictured below).
