The most exciting six weeks of winter continue, with Long Island Winterfest! Hotel Indigo East End and Bistro 72 have already hosted some terrific performances by renowned Americana sweetheart, Amy Helm and local blues favorites, Vinny St. Marten & Seeing Eye Dog Band. And as the schedule reads, the talent will just keep coming! Our next featured artist for Long Island Winterfest is Cassandra House, a Long Island native and regular at Bistro 72. We are thrilled to have her back and hope you are too!
The Talent of Cassandra House
Cassandra House is a folk singer, songwriter and guitarist. Her music is a real and raw look into her life of love and heartbreak and sends messages through her soulful voice. Cassandra is from Patchogue, NY and performs all over Long Island, with the East End being a favorite.
In 2012, Cassandra House came out with an EP called Night Owl, which depicts the honesty and lessons she has experienced over the years. According to LI Pulse, Cassandra’s songs take you deep within her mind of her truest thoughts. You can hear Cassandra finding who she is through her music, and it is quite magnificent.
Cassandra’s music is intriguing, and she credits musical influences, and her passion for discovering new music. Cassandra draws inspiration from the sounds of Patty Griffin, Tori Amos, Freddie Mercury, Susan Tedeschi and Bonnie Raitt, and she enjoys musical variety when writing a song. We can attest to the same having seen her perform live.
The Bistro 72 audience really enjoys Cassandra House’s performances; which works well for Cassandra, as she enjoys playing restaurants and bars. Her goal is to emit energy and make her listeners’ experiences even more enjoyable. She, in our opinion, achieves that goal every time, and really contributes the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Long Island Winterfest
Cassandra House is just one brilliant musician in a lineup of 128. However, her talent and passion are not to be missed. Cassandra represents Long Island Winterfest, as only a true Long Islander could, and she so effortlessly captures the essence of the festival in her music.
We invite you to experience the melodic sounds of Cassandra’s singing. Enjoy a fine glass of Long Island wine or other libation over dinner, and enjoy the atmosphere she helps create. Cassandra’s performance is a highlight for us and without question for Long Island Winterfest.
