Winterfest returns to Bistro 72 February 24th – March 18th

Bistro 72 will join Winterfest, a 4-week event series highlighting the best local businesses and the arts scene on the East End, with a series of live music every Friday and Saturday between February 24, 2017 and March 18, 2017 from 7pm – 10pm. We’ll showcase talented musicians who play jazz, rock, country music and more. We’ll also have a special prix fixe dinner menu for only $55/person (+tax and gratuity). East End Trio | Friday, February 24th
The East End Trio, is a local band comprised of a Mike Munzer (Guitar, Vocals), Doug Morrow (Percussionist) and Miranda Gatewood (Bass/Vocals), who have been friends for 10 years and counting. They often play hits from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s “performed with style, grace and originality.”

Danny Kean | Saturday, February 25th
Danny Kean started playing piano at age 2 and released his first album, Blind by Design at age 18. His influences include artists like Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Miles Davis, Jimmy Hendrix, Ray Charles and the Crusaders. Their sound reverberates throughout his work. When he was 19, he went on tour with Stevie Cochran and performed at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival. More recently, he recorded with famed rocker Gary U.S. Bond, New Orleans blues legend Bryan Lee and released his own self-titled album.

Robert Bruey | Friday, March 3rd
Bruey, a skilled singer-songwriter and guitarist, grew up in rural New England and currently lives on Long Island’s North Fork. In his music, you can feel his musical influences, Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, and Jackson Browne, among others. He describes his own music as “ soulful, honest and real” and often employs a deft and unique finger-picking style that complements his earthy voice and the introspection in his lyrics.

Michael Duca | Saturday, March 4th
Michael Duca is a Long Island native, who’s played at restaurants and wineries across the East End for over 10 years. He plays acoustic covers from a range of artists such as Elvis, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Billy Joel, The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd up to and including top artists of the 80’s 90’s and today like Sublime, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, The Black Eyed Peas, Usher, Mumford & Sons, Adele, One Direction, Rihanna, Phil Phillips, Jack Johnson and Eminem as well as some of his original songs.

Dave March | Friday, March 10th
Dave March is a local singer/songwriter, bass player, and a founding member of critically-acclaimed folk rock ensemble Miles to Dayton. His influences include Ryan Adams, Johnny Cash, Ray Lamontagne, John Lennon to name a few. Dave has shared the stage with artists such as Jen Chapin, Tom Paxton, Richie Havens and Levon Helm’s Dirt Farmer band.

Cassandra House |  Saturday, March 11th
Cassandra House is a local singer/songwriter whose original music has been compared to Patty Griffin, Kathleen Edwards & Neko Case and described as soulful, earnest and raw. She has shared the stage with such talents as Amy Helm and the Handsome Strangers, Shannon McNally, Jen Chapin & Todd Scheaffer of Railroad Earth

Jon + Krista from Miles to Dayton | Friday, March 17th
Jon and Krista are partners in music and in life. The couple forms a third of the critically-acclaimed band, Miles To Dayton. Miles to Dayton has built a large grassroots following of fans young and old, performing at the Patchogue Theater and selling out a show at Boulton Center. Miles to Dayton has also been featured in Oprah Magazine, ValsList, the Long Island Pulse and the Lefsetz Letter and many other publications.

Jesse Barnes | Saturday, March 18th
Jesse Barnes is a guitarist and composer based in Brooklyn. He grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where he was introduced to the guitar and started playing in local blues clubs. He’s spent 10 years playing in venues across the world such as New Orleans, Chicago or Brazil. His music incorporates bossa nova and jazz.
